Scientists have reported a plasma cloud threatening to hit the Earth.

A cloud of plasma ejected by the Sun after a high-class flare, according to preliminary data, may hit the Earth on the night of April 1. This was announced on March 30 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"According to the basic scenario, the plasma cloud touches the planet's edge on the night of April 1. After that, the Earth will stay inside the solar substance for two to three days. But at the same time, a very small deviation to the left will lead to the fact that the mass of matter will pass by the planet altogether, and a very small deviation to the right will lead to an impact on the Earth by the central dense part of the ejection," the laboratory's website says.

It is noted that it is impossible to make an accurate forecast in the current situation and analysts can only "flip a coin."

The laboratory of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported earlier in the day that a flare of the highest score was recorded on the Sun for the first time in almost two months. They noted that this is the second noticeable phenomenon in the last two days after the plasma release on March 28, which passed by the Earth.

On March 21, the Institute of Applied Geophysics reported that an increase in the degree of disturbance of the magnetic field was recorded on Earth. It was noted that the degree of disturbance of the Earth's magnetic field increased from the level of G1 to G2.
