If there is a shortage of personnel, then it should be solved by increasing labor productivity and the prestige of working professions. This was announced on March 30 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"It is right to address the problem of increasing labor productivity and the prestige of working professions, and training professional personnel. Yes, it is more difficult than attracting labor from abroad," he said in his channel on Max.

Foreign citizens make up only 13-15% of construction industry workers in Russia. At the same time, the labor force that is attracted from abroad cannot be called cheap, Volodin added.
