The European Union (EU) is considering the possibility of moving to more aggressive enforcement measures against Hungary, including a complete refusal to pay funds from the pan-European budget. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on March 30.

"The EU is discussing contingency plans in case <...> [Prime Minister of Hungary] Viktor Orban will win another term," the publication says.
