A peacekeeper of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was killed in a shell explosion. This was announced on March 29 by the press service of UNIFIL.

"Last night, as a result of a shell explosion <... One peacekeeper was tragically killed," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that one more person was seriously injured. At the moment, he is receiving medical care.

The UNIFIL added that the origin of the projectile is unknown, the circumstances of the incident are being established.
