The BM-21 Grad crew destroyed the launch sites and control points of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The crew of the BM-21 Grad combat vehicle of the North group of forces destroyed the launch sites and control points of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkiv region. This was announced on March 30 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that during the night reconnaissance of the troops of unmanned systems (UAVs), launch sites and control centers of drones were discovered, which terrorized the border areas of the Belgorod region. After confirming the location and recording the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the coordinates were transferred to the gunners.

"Our tasks are difficult and difficult. The operational situation is difficult. <...> The enemy spends a lot of money on UAVs, which slow down our work, so to speak. We are working, fulfilling our tasks. A target arrives at any time of the day, regardless of weather conditions, we calculate and move to a firing position, we work out," a senior officer of the battery of the jet division with the call sign Siberia told about his work.

According to the ministry, after receiving the information, the BM-21 crew moved into position and destroyed the targets with 40 122 mm rockets.

"During the flight, suspicious activity was detected in the forest areas. It was assumed that an enemy UAV crew was living. The coordinates were transferred to the senior management, after which additional reconnaissance of the area was carried out by small reconnaissance drones in the afternoon. After confirming the targets, the Grad worked there," a senior BPS operator with the call sign Pugach told about his work.

As noted in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, communication has been established between artillery calculations and UAVs using fiber-optic and satellite communications of domestic production.

On March 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that during the fighting in the area of the village of Konstantinovka, operators of the BPS unit of the 72nd separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed two 120-millimeter mortars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was clarified that the first position was found in the courtyard of one of the abandoned houses in the private sector, and the second in a wooded area.
