On March 29, the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia explained who could be affected by the blocking of accounts for failure to submit a tax return.

The department noted that the possible suspension of account transactions does not affect all individuals who are required to file a declaration in the 3-personal income tax form upon receipt of income.

"The suspension of operations for failure to submit a declaration applies only to: organizations, sole proprietors, notaries, lawyers, and other persons engaged in private practice whose income is related to conducting business," the agency's publication in the MAX messenger says.
