Stepan Bandera's reburial allowed in Ukraine

The leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN, an organization banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist), Stepan Bandera, may be reburied in Ukraine in the "Pantheon of Outstanding Ukrainians." This was reported on March 29 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

It is noted that the relevant issue was discussed at a meeting led by Kirill Budanov, head of Vladimir Zelensky's office (listed by Rosfinmonitoring as an extremist and terrorist).

"The Pantheon will be a space of national memory where prominent Ukrainians whose graves are currently abroad can be reburied," the publication said in a Telegram channel.

The publication, citing statements by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa, reports that Ukrainian diplomatic representatives have already identified 98 graves of Ukrainians in 21 countries for these purposes, including figures from the Ukrainian People's Republic (UPR), the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (WNR), and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation). At the same time, as the publication clarifies, the specific names of Ukrainians who are planned to be reburied are not mentioned. However, it is known that the graves of the OUN leaders Bandera, Melnik and Konovalets are located abroad — in Munich, Clairvaux and Rotterdam, respectively.
