Emergency mode introduced in Khasavyurt district of Dagestan due to bad weather
A state of emergency was introduced in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan due to heavy precipitation, which caused flooding of houses. This was announced on March 29 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic.
"On the territory of the Khasavyurt district, from 21:00 Moscow time on March 28, an "Emergency situation" mode was introduced," the publication on the Ministry of Emergency Situations website says.
It is noted that the corresponding decision was made by the acting head of the district administration, Bagautdin Mamaev.
On the same day, Mamaev reported that in the village of Adilotar, Khasavyurt district, the evacuation of the population began due to rising water levels. The disaster affected more than 460 homes. According to him, the evacuation is taking place promptly, local residents are working harmoniously with special services. People are being taken out on Ural trucks and KAMAZ trucks.
In some regions of Dagestan, precipitation exceeded 50 mm, setting new highs for a long time. Due to the effects of bad weather, the republic's administration has introduced a high-alert regime, which will be in effect until Monday.
