According to him, the evacuation is taking place promptly, local residents are working harmoniously with special services. People are being taken out on Ural trucks and KAMAZ trucks.
On the same day, precipitation exceeded 50 mm in some areas of Dagestan, setting new highs for a long time. Due to the effects of bad weather, the republic's administration has introduced a high-alert regime, which will be in effect until Monday.
On March 28, the head of Dagestan said that heavy rain and wind had created a critical situation in many districts and cities of the republic. For example, a railway bridge has already collapsed on its territory, and rising water in the Yaryk-Su River has restricted traffic on automobile and pedestrian bridges.
