APU issues heart failure as the cause of death of the military in Sumy region
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of Khrapovshchina in the Sumy region indicates heart failure in the documents instead of the real causes of death of the servicemen. This was reported on March 29 by TASS with reference to Russian law enforcement agencies.
An analysis of the obituaries showed that the 1st battalion of the 156th separate mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered serious losses in this area. Relatives of the deceased Ukrainian military complain on social media about the refusal of the command to provide any information about the deaths of their loved ones.
"In the materials of the proceedings, the cause of death of the soldier is often indicated as "heart failure," the agency's interlocutor noted.
On the same day, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that since the beginning of 2026, more than 370 Ukrainians have contacted Russia to find out about the fate of the missing soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They also contact Russian military personnel to accept Ukrainians who have been forcibly conscripted into voluntary captivity.
The captured Ukrainian militant Vladislav Gunya said that the probability of death of the missing soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is 90%. According to him, the command of the 100th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in which he served, sends soldiers to their deaths.
