The foiled terrorist attack in Paris is linked to the worsening situation in the Middle East. This was announced on March 28 by French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez.

It is specified that on March 28, a man was detained suspected of preparing to set fire to an improvised explosive device at the Bank of America headquarters in Paris. The second person who was at the scene managed to escape.

"I associate this [the attempted terrorist attack] with actions taken in neighboring countries," Nunes said on BFMTV.

According to reports, the detainee had no documents. The suspect stated that he is a citizen of Senegal. According to the man, he was recruited through the Snapchat messenger, promising € 600 for committing a terrorist act.

The AzTV channel reported on the same day that a series of terrorist attacks planned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran had been prevented in Azerbaijan. The attacks were planned to be carried out using explosive devices. To do this, devices packed with C-4 explosives were secretly transported to the country.

The APA news agency reported on the morning of March 5 that an Iranian drone crashed at the airport in Nakhichevan. The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office has opened a criminal case into the incident and ordered a preliminary investigation.
