The highest-paying jobs in February 2026 were in the transportation industry, construction, agriculture, and manufacturing. This was announced on March 29 by the Deputy General Director of Work.<url>, Alexander Veterkov, Chief Operating Officer of Sberpodbor.

"In February 2026, the transport industry demonstrated the highest salary offers — 100.6 thousand rubles on average in Russia. The construction sector came in second place — 90 thousand rubles. The industry of production and agriculture closes the top three with an average salary offer in the country of 84.1 thousand rubles," Veterkov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The expert clarified that office workers (80.6 thousand rubles) and service sector employees (76.8 thousand rubles) are in the fourth place of the top.

In 2026, a noticeable increase in wages compared to 2025 was shown by the trade sector, in which wages increased by 17.8%. There has been significant wage growth in logistics (14.8%), information technology and telecom (11.5%), and marketing (8%).

Vetkov also spoke about the rapid indexation of salaries in such areas as the defense industry, high-tech engineering and IT (including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity), by about 10-20% or higher in the face of staff shortages.

Earlier, on March 22, it was reported that oil workers on Sakhalin and financiers in Moscow earn the most in Russia, and employees of the state service of Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria complete the list. With an acute shortage of specialists in some areas, the average salary exceeded the psychological limit of 100,000 rubles, and the annual growth was an impressive 13.5%.
