Relations between Russia and the United States have recently reached a low point in their history, and now even the first, timid attempts to improve them are a priority. This was announced on March 29 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Our relations, as you know, in all areas have sunk to probably the lowest point in history. That is, they actually stopped. That is why such initial attempts, even if they are timid, to establish contacts through our parliamentarians are difficult to overestimate. This is really very important," TASS quoted him as saying.
