Onishchenko stated about the possibility of women to give birth to an unlimited number of children

The number of children a woman can have has no strict limits and is determined by the health status and capabilities of the family. This was announced on March 29 by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko.

"How much to give birth depends on the health and capabilities of the family, the woman, and her "settings." There is no limit to this, but within the childbearing age of 15-40 years, as long as she has time, if she has health, if she lives normally," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Onishchenko also pointed out that more than 2 million large families with three or more children live in Russia. At the same time, by 2036, according to him, the fertility rate in the country should reach the level of 1.8 children per woman.

In addition, the academician stressed that the refusal to have children, in his opinion, can negatively affect the female body, since the maternal function is inherent in nature.
