Engineer-sapper Maslov defused the mines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under enemy mortar fire

A sapper engineer, senior sailor Oleg Maslov defused mines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) that were in the path of the assault groups despite enemy mortar fire. This was announced on March 29 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Maslov was instructed to move to the front line and neutralize the minefields blocking the path of the assault groups. Acting quickly and stealthily, he consistently cleared the approaches to the enemy stronghold, moving deeper and conducting reconnaissance of the flanks of the enemy's defenses.

During the task, a sapper engineer was spotted and came under mortar fire. Despite the danger, he continued to defuse mines, which allowed the assault units to successfully attack enemy positions and capture a key stronghold. Thanks to Maslov's courage and dedication, it was possible to achieve a significant breakthrough on the well-fortified defensive line of the enemy with minimal losses.

The Ministry of Defense also noted the bravery and efficiency of Sergeant Sergei Vasilistov, who eliminated the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Vasilistov, leading an assault group, carried out a combat mission to capture an enemy stronghold. Under mortar fire and attacks from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), he skillfully used the terrain to advance stealthily.

Having approached the enemy's positions unnoticed, the sergeant attacked the Ukrainian militants with grenades, and then, continuing his movement, destroyed all the personnel. His courage and determination allowed him to capture the stronghold, after which the assault group gained a foothold on the occupied line.

On March 28, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that an assault group under the command of Lieutenant Ruslan Popkov had destroyed an observation post, a camouflaged firing point and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The ministry also noted the decisive actions of Senior Lieutenant Alexander Slivak, who, commanding the calculation of an artillery piece, destroyed the control point of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as 10 Ukrainian militants.
