Several EGA plant employees injured in Iran strike in Abu Dhabi
The Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) plant in Al-Tawel in the Khalifa Economic Zone in Abu Dhabi suffered significant damage as a result of an attack by the Iranian armed forces, and several employees were injured. This was announced on March 28 on the company's website.
"The safety of our employees is always our top priority at EGA. We are deeply saddened and assess the damage caused to our facilities," Director General Abdulnasser Bin Kalban was quoted as saying by the press service.
It is noted that the damage assessment continues. Several EGA employees were injured, but none of them are life-threatening, the company added.
Earlier in the day, Al Hadath TV channel reported two fires in Abu Dhabi near the Khalifa Industrial Economic Zone. According to the newspaper, the fires were caused by an Iranian missile attack.
