The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will not be able to reach the borders of 1991. This was announced by Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"Nevertheless, we will not regain control of all territories (up to the borders of 1991. — Ed.)," Podolyak said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vasily Golovanov, whose recording is posted on YouTube.

Podolyak said that Kiev would pay "too high a price" for trying to realize its plans.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said yesterday that Ukraine could be defeated if it continues to refuse to make concessions. On March 26, Zelensky refused to withdraw the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the territories of Donbass in exchange for security guarantees from the United States, which, according to Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation for defense, was not surprising. He stressed that for the Ukrainian leader, such a decision is commensurate with death, and then added that for Zelensky, his life is more expensive than the lives of his people.
