The IDF confirmed a targeted attack on a journalist of the Al-Manar TV channel.
On March 28, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed a targeted attack on journalist Ali Shuaib of the Al-Manar TV channel, with whom the deceased Al Mayadeen correspondent Fatima Ftouni could be.
"Recently, the IDF attacked and eliminated Ali Shuaib," the army's Telegram channel says.
The IDF called the Al-Manar journalist an alleged "Hezbollah terrorist who acted under the guise of a journalist."
The deaths of Shuaib and his colleague Ftouni as a result of an Israeli Defense Forces strike in southern Lebanon became known earlier that day. Al Mayadeen called the deceased Ftuni Channel journalist a heroine.
In turn, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the killing of journalists in the south of the country as a result of an Israeli strike. He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the journalistic and media community.
