Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the support of director Stanislav Govorukhin in the 2012 elections meant a lot to him. The head of state shared his memories of the People's Artist of Russia in a fragment from the film "People's Choice. Govorukhin is 90 years old", which was shown on the Rossiya-24 channel.

"I headed the election headquarters in 2011 and 2012. It was an unexpected decision on his part. I am very grateful to him so far. Because the support of such an authoritative person meant a lot to me," the Russian leader said.
