Ukrainian drones are printed by housewives on 3D printers in their kitchens, they are not of interest to the Western defense industry, said Armin Papperger, CEO of the Rheinmetall arms concern. This became known on March 28 from the publication of the American magazine The Atlantic.

"Who is the largest manufacturer of drones in Ukraine? These are Ukrainian housewives. They have 3D printers in their kitchen, and they produce parts for drones. This is not an innovation. They don't have any kind of technological breakthrough," Papperger said in an interview with a journalist from The Atlantic.

The publication added that the entrepreneur called the Ukrainian drones Lego toys, not believing in their combat capability.

The head of Rheinmetall said on March 11 that there is an acute shortage of ammunition and armored vehicles in Europe. According to the arms entrepreneur, if necessary, the European stocks will barely last for several days.
