The "Culture Without Borders" drawing contest dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia has begun in the capital. Children aged 10-17 can become participants. Applications will be accepted until April 30, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.

"The winners and prize-winners will be determined in several categories. For example, children can depict the natural beauty of our country, national costumes, dishes, and household attributes. One of the works will decorate a limited edition of single reader's tickets," Sergunina said.

The competition is organized with the participation of the Library No. 128 of the M.A. Sholokhov Cultural Center. In a special nomination, the authors are invited to share illustrations to the works of the Soviet writer.

The drawings will be evaluated by a jury of artists, designers, cultural and artistic figures. Experts will take into account the technique of execution, compliance with the stated theme, originality and other parameters. The requirements for drawings and the conditions for submitting applications are set out on the contest page.

The list of finalists who passed the qualifying stage will be posted on the website of the Moscow Directorate for the Development of Cultural Centers. The winners will be announced in May, and their works will be presented at an exhibition in Library No. 128.
