The expert named possible reasons for the suspension of pension payments

Pension payment may be suspended if a citizen has not collected it from a post office within six months. This was announced on March 28 by Igor Balynin, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

"Examples of such grounds are the following: the absence of receiving an insurance pension for six months in a row (payment is suspended for six months starting on the 1st day of the month following the month in which the specified period expired)," Balynin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
