Lieutenant Popkov personally eliminated two Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters as part of an assault group.

The assault group under the command of Lieutenant Ruslan Popkov destroyed an observation post, a camouflaged firing point and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on March 28 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The assault group carried out a combat mission to clear the forest area from Ukrainian militants. During the task, the group discovered an enemy stronghold with deeply echeloned defenses, installed mine-explosive barriers and equipped with camouflaged firing points.

After conducting reconnaissance of the area using a quadcopter, the attack aircraft managed to approach the positions of the defending militants unnoticed. Having defused the minefields, and then, using the terrain to shelter from enemy fire, the group took up a convenient, visible firing position in readiness to attack.

After conducting additional reconnaissance, Popkov transmitted the coordinates of the identified enemy weapons to the command post of the Russian artillery unit. As a result of the artillery strike, the militants' observation post was destroyed, as well as a camouflaged firing point. During a rapid battle, acting as part of an assault group, Popkov personally killed two Ukrainian militants.

The suddenness of the assault group's actions disorganized the defense and caused panic in the enemy ranks. As a result of the targeted small arms fire and the precise adjustment of artillery fire, the enemy was forced out of their positions and put to flight.

The timely and competent actions of the group under the command of the lieutenant ensured the success of the offensive operations. As a result of the fulfillment of the assigned combat mission, the enemy stronghold completely came under the control of Russian forces, and conditions were created for the advance of the second echelon of our units.

The Ministry of Defense also noted the decisive actions of Senior Lieutenant Alexander Slivak, who, commanding the calculation of an artillery piece, destroyed the control center for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as 10 Ukrainian militants.

Under the leadership of a senior lieutenant, the artillery crew successfully carried out combat missions to support Russian troops on an important defensive line. They effectively suppressed enemy artillery, armored vehicles and manpower, providing continuous and accurate fire.

Thanks to their actions, the UAV control center and up to 10 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters were destroyed. Slivak's professionalism and courage, as well as the teamwork of his team, made it possible to hold positions, inflict significant damage on the enemy and create the prerequisites for a further offensive.

On March 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Private Ivan Borovoy, as part of the unit, resisted a sudden counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defending his positions. The department also noted the courage of Private Oleg Shevchenko, who defended Russian positions as part of the unit.
