"This is an unprecedented emergency. Currently, more than 60 thousand employees of the Transportation Security Administration, including about 50 thousand employees of the transportation security Service who perform security functions at US airports, do not receive salaries due to the reckless decision of the Democrats," the publication says.

The press service added that since the start of the shutdown, about 500 transport security personnel have quit, and thousands of employees have started taking sick leave due to lack of pay.
