The traveler Fyodor Konyukhov returned to Moscow from Antarctica
The traveler Fyodor Konyukhov arrived in Moscow, having completed an expedition in Antarctica. He was greeted on March 27 at Domodedovo Airport with a poster "Fyodor Konyukhov's Russian Antarctica 2025-2026. Antarctica is ours!"
Konyukhov was on the island of Smolensk, where he conducted scientific research on behalf of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute and the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"I lived in Antarctica very beautifully, I had a lot of friends there: penguins, seals, elephant seals, whales. I slept well, ate well, and it took me three to four hours a day to study, slowly," the traveler told reporters.
Konyukhov said that in Antarctica he painted paintings, and also "communicated" with marine animals. He confessed that he misses that time now and if he had two or three lives, he would definitely have spent one of them in Antarctica.
The traveler stressed that during his stay on the island he did not set records, but focused on research work.
On March 3, Konyukhov became the winner of the Znanie Award in the nomination "For his contribution to education in the field of Ecology and tourism." The award was presented to the winner's representative by Vyacheslav Fetisov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Chairman of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation.
Last November, a Russian traveler stated that success in any business requires a harmonious combination of physical, material, moral and spiritual training. He emphasized that this is exactly the principle he teaches children at his traveling school, where students try different sports, from rock climbing to soccer.
