General Kuvshinov apologized to the Ministry of Defense in court

The former head of the ninth medical and diagnostic center of the Ministry of Defense, General Konstantin Kuvshinov, accused of embezzlement of funds in the supply of medical equipment, apologized to the Russian Ministry of Defense, speaking with the last word. This was announced on March 27 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Khamovnicheskiy district Court of Moscow.

"I fully admit my guilt for the crime I committed and repent. I apologize to the Ministry of Defense," Kuvshinov said.

He said that before making his confession, he turned to his confessor and repented — according to him, this is what prompted him to turn himself in.

On August 26, 2025, Kuvshinov was arrested on charges of embezzlement of more than 57 million rubles, which were allocated for the purchase of medical equipment.
