Blogger Pavel Syutkin (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring), known as a historian of Russian cuisine, will stand trial for spreading deliberately false information about the use of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported on March 27 in the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
"Syutkin posted publications on his public Telegram channel that, according to psychological and linguistic research, contain deliberately false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation against the civilian population of Ukraine," the message says in the messenger of the MAX.
The criminal case was initiated under clause "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation"). At the request of the investigation, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against the blogger.
In October last year, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Syutkin for publishing false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in Bucha in the Telegram messenger. Prior to that, on October 9, it was reported that the metropolitan court had arrested Syutkin for two months.
