There is currently no need to announce a new wave of mobilization in Russia. This was announced on Friday, March 27, by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"At the moment, there is no need to announce a new wave of mobilization," he told RIA Novosti.

According to the agency's interlocutor, those Russians who have signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for military service in the area of a special military operation (SVO) are "quite enough" to achieve all available combat missions.

On the same day, Medvedev announced the number of Russians who have signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation since the beginning of 2026. Thus, according to the statistics provided by him, more than 80 thousand recruits joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. On January 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the completed work on the acquisition of unmanned systems (UAVs) for Russian troops. The department said that the persons who signed contracts were selected for the new divisions. It was emphasized that during the admission, preference was given to those citizens who were distinguished by analytical abilities, in particular, those who knew how to use computers well.
