The opening hours of checkpoints on the Russian-Estonian border are changing. This is due to the transition of the Estonian side to the summer schedule.

The changes will take effect on March 29. Until October 25, the passage of individuals and vehicles through the Estonian checkpoints Narva-1, Koidula and Luhamaa will take place at other time intervals, the Pskov News Feed clarifies with reference to the North-Western Customs Administration.

Thus, citizens will be allowed to pass through the Narva-1 checkpoint (or the Ivangorod checkpoint) from 7:00 to 23:00 Moscow time. If citizens pass the control in the immediate vicinity by 23 hours, they will be able to enter the territory of Russia even after the closure of the Estonian checkpoint.

Individuals and vehicles will be allowed through the Luhamaa and Koidula checkpoints (or Kunichin Mountain Shumilkino checkpoints) from 7:00 to 19:00 Moscow time.

On the Russian side, the opening hours of the Pskov and St. Petersburg customs checkpoints will not change. The MAPP will work around the clock.

At the end of February, several kilometers of traffic jams were recorded on the Russian-Estonian border in front of the Narva-1 checkpoint due to a sharp increase in the number of people wishing to enter the Russian Federation.
