Medvedev pointed to the high rate of weapons production in Russia.

Russia has been able to achieve high production rates of various types of weapons and military equipment. This was announced on March 27 by the Deputy Chairman of the country's Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev.

"We have managed to achieve very high production rates of a wide variety of weapons, military equipment, and weapons of destruction," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Medvedev explained that without increasing the capacity of the military-industrial complex (MIC), it would be impossible to continue fighting.

Commenting on the implementation of the State Defense Order (GOZ), the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council noted that the process is proceeding smoothly. Medvedev also stressed that in the context of the global confrontation with the West, Russia independently provides its Armed Forces with equipment.

On February 19, Medvedev announced that Russia had been able to increase the volume of its military products several times. According to him, the Russian defense industry has not only demonstrated excellent opportunities in import substitution, but has also become a source of innovative technical solutions.
