Sales of JAC passenger cars have more than halved in Russia
According to the results of the first two months of 2026, 721 cars of the Chinese brand JAC were sold in Russia. This is more than two times (-52%) less than in January-February last year, when sales reached 1,498 cars. This was announced on March 27 by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, in his Telegram channel.
The JAC T9 pickup truck has become the bestseller in the brand's lineup, accounting for more than half of sales (392 units). About 30% more sales are accounted for by the JAC JS6 crossover (213 units).
Also, 51 JAC GS3 crossovers and 41 copies of the large JAC Refine RF8 minivan were sold in two months. The remaining models are sold in individual quantities, the expert noted.
The analyst recalled that JAC acts as a technology partner for Moskvich and Sollers, and in the commercial segment, a partnership has been established with KAMAZ in the Compass line.
Earlier that day, it was reported that sales of SWM and Kaiyi cars, which were assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, had almost disappeared. In the first case, in January-February, the volume fell by 91.3%, in the second — by 94%.
The day before, it became known that sales of Chinese brand Venucia cars had stopped in Russia. According to Autostat Info statistics, not a single Venucia car was sold in the country in January-February 2026.
