The Moskvich automobile plant launched the assembly of electric scooters for the Yandex Go rental service, a pilot project was implemented jointly with the Department of Transport of the capital. As part of the test stage, the company will produce 2 thousand electric scooters, which will be available to users this season, Deptrans announced on March 27 in the channel at MAX.

At Moskvich, specialists are carrying out a large-scale assembly of 118 components and components, testing electronics, wheel and brake health, and then sending scooters to a test track with ramps, speed bumps and imitation of different road surfaces.

In the future, the company plans to increase localization and create a fully domestic electric scooter platform. As Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, noted, testing new scooters before taking to the streets meets the car testing standards.

"Today, the Moskvich technocluster has modern equipment and highly qualified specialists to assemble the most up-to-date electric vehicles. The launch of such production in the capital is an important step in the development of domestic technologies," Liksutov said.

On March 6, the Moskvich automobile plant launched sales of two new crossovers from the M-line — the five-seat M70 and the seven-seat M90. The most affordable model costs from 3.1 million rubles.
