Reports about the talks between the United States and Tehran are false. This was announced on March 27 by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan Ali Akbar Jowkar, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

"At the moment, no negotiations are underway," TASS quoted him as saying.

At the same time, he noted that a number of countries are interested in mediation between Iran and the United States and are ready to facilitate the resumption of dialogue.

Ebrahim Zolfagari, the official representative of the central headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya military command, said on March 25 that Iran would negotiate with the United States only on its own initiative. Zolfaghari stressed the Islamic Republic's tough stance, noting that Iran does not intend to negotiate with those who adhere to the current policy.
