On March 27, Oscar Piastri led the protocol of the second session of free races at the Japanese Grand Prix at the third stage of the Formula 1 championship, which takes place at the Suzuki circuit.

The rider completed his best lap in 1 minute, 30.133 seconds.

The second and third lines were taken by representatives of the Mercedes team. Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli lost to the leader (0.092) seconds, while Briton George Russell fell behind (+0.205). The reigning world champion Lando Norris (+0.516) from McLaren ended the session in fourth position. Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton of Britain (+0.847), representing Ferrari, scored the sixth result. The Dutch four-time world champion Max Verstappen (+1,376) from Red Bull is in tenth place.

The Suzuki stage program will continue on Saturday. The third part of the free races and the qualification for Sunday's race are waiting for the riders.

Mercedes team driver George Russell won the sprint race at the Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix on March 14. Ferrari driver Charles Leclair took second place, and Lewis Hamilton from the same team took third place.
