The Peacock Theater, located in downtown Los Angeles, will be the new venue for the Academy Awards ceremony from 2029 to 2039. This was announced on March 26 on the website of AEG, the company that manages the site.
"L.A. Live will be a new venue for the Academy Awards ceremony, starting with the 101st ceremony in 2029 and continuing through 2039. The Academy Award ceremony will be held at the Peacock Theater," the publication says.
At the moment, the film award ceremony is taking place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
Earlier, on March 15, it was reported that the film "Sinners" won the Oscar for Best original screenplay. At the same time, the award for best adapted screenplay went to the movie "Battle after Battle." It is noted that the film "Sinners" has previously been awarded similar awards by BAFTA and the Screenwriters Guild of the USA.
