Putin congratulates Rosgvardiya on professional holiday
On March 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Rosgvardiya on its professional holiday, National Guard Troops Day, noting its contribution to ensuring state and public security.
"Rosgvardiya, established 10 years ago, has taken an important place in the system of bodies that ensure state and public safety, protection of the rights and freedoms of our citizens. One of your main tasks is the fight against terrorism and extremism, including the detention of particularly dangerous criminals," Putin said.
He noted that the soldiers of the Russian Guard also show real courage during a special military operation. According to Putin, military labor and devoted service to the Fatherland have always been honorable in Russia.
"You honorably continue the work of your fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, those who crushed the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War, who fought against the underground and international terrorism. Today, you are writing new pages in the glorious military chronicle of the law enforcement forces," the Russian president said.
In addition, Putin thanked all Rosgvardiya employees for their service and asked them to convey his warmest congratulations to all veterans, including the OMON and the SOBR.
On February 25, the head of the Rosgvardiya, Viktor Zolotov, at an expanded meeting of the department's board following the results of work in 2025, said that in a short period of time since the appearance of the Rosgvardiya, work had been carried out to form the modern appearance of the department's troops.
