A man who had been hiding from the investigation in the Karelian taiga for eight years did not want to work and stole from his neighbors. His stepmother informed Izvestia about this on March 26.

"He has five criminal records. His father brought him here from St. Petersburg, thinking that he would reform him, make a man out of him. But he didn't want to work, he got involved in hooliganism. He stole my daughter's glasses and didn't help us in any way. Robbed two neighbors' houses. They couldn't figure him out at first, but then they found him and put him in jail," she said.

On the same day, it became known about the detention of a man sentenced to a year of correctional labor. Fearing criminal liability, he hid for eight years in a forest area in the Prionezhsky district.

He did not use a mobile phone, bank cards, passport, did not appear in public places, did not keep in touch with family and friends.

The day before, the Moscow department of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that a man had stabbed an ex-girlfriend in the north of Moscow. Later, a source told Izvestia that the attacker had previously died in an accident after the crime.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
