The court arrested the ex-head of the Rosgvardiya department in the Novosibirsk region.

In the Novosibirsk region, Vasil Shushakov, the former head of the regional department of the Russian Guard, Major General of police in reserve, was arrested in a criminal case of abuse of authority. This was announced on March 26 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

Shushakov is charged under clauses "c", "d", "e" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority by a group of persons by prior agreement out of personal interest in fulfilling a state contract with serious consequences").

According to the investigation, in 2024, the state customer signed a multimillion-dollar contract with StroySib LLC for the supply of a special facility for training and target shooting from weapons.

"The duties of monitoring the execution of the contract were assigned to Shushakov. In 2024, Shushakov organized the registration of documents with deliberately false information about the allegedly completed works and their payment. As a result of the crime, the terms of the contract were not fulfilled, which caused damage to the state in the person of Rosgvardiya in the amount of over 35 million rubles," the agency said in a message on the MAX messenger.

The restrictions affected a country house, two apartments, several parking spaces and all the money in the accounts.

In November last year, it was reported that in Primorsky Krai, an official of the Department of Education of the Dalnerechensk city district was arrested for two months for stealing budget funds. The amount of the theft amounted to more than 3.7 million rubles.
