A boy who had his fingers amputated due to the detonation of an explosive device hidden in a stack of banknotes in Krasnogorsk was given a prosthesis by the Russian company Motorika on March 26.

"I came across the website of the Motorica company, started looking at [information] about prosthetics, and closer to the age of 14 I submitted an application, collected all the necessary documents, and the state provided me with a prosthesis. A prosthesis is really a device that helps you interact at the level of your auxiliary arm," said Maxim Pometikhin, a representative of Motorica.

The young man, sharing his experience of using a prosthesis, noted that the adaptation period took him about two weeks. The young man recalls that two months later he was able to easily lift the needle off the floor, which indicates that the prosthesis helps a person to perform even jewelry work. Now Pometikhin uses it to do household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and exercising.
