The state prosecution has asked for nine members of the organized criminal group Konstantin Piskarev, nicknamed Kostya Bolshoy, to be found guilty and sentenced to terms ranging from nine years to life in prison. This was reported on March 26 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

For Piskarev, the prosecutor requested a life sentence and a fine of 1 million rubles. Sergei Alexandrov was asked to be sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Sergei Barabashkin to 14 years in a penal colony. They requested 17 years in prison for Yuri Berezhnov, 11 for Alexander Zamyatin, and 14 for Damir Kapkov.

Andrey Stolyaryav was asked to serve 16 years in prison, and Dmitry and Nikolai Yurov were sentenced to 18 and nine years in prison, respectively. They were also asked to impose fines from 400 thousand rubles to 600 thousand rubles.

Depending on their role in the organized crime group, the defendants are accused of banditry, illegal trafficking of weapons and explosives, attempted murder and reprisals.

A correspondent for Izvestia reported from the courtroom on March 4 that in his last statement, killer Kostya Bolshoy called the arguments of the state prosecution a theory of probability and fiction.

Piskarev's defense asked the jury to acquit him on February 19. According to the defender, the burial sites of the alleged victims have not been identified, and such mandatory signs of the group as financial community and unity of purpose have not been confirmed.

In 2022, Piskarev and eight of his accomplices refused to fully admit their guilt in banditry, murder, kidnapping and illegal arms trafficking. However, according to investigators, Piskarev has committed 21 murders since the mid-1990s. However, the bodies of some of the victims have not yet been found.
