Russo-Balt has begun testing a new Tesla Cybertruck-style van.
The Russo-Balt automobile brand, which is being revived in Perm, has begun full-fledged sea trials of the new F200 van. The developers of the model told about this in their Telegram channel.
Specialists check the operation of the suspension, electronic components, the load on the electric motor, body stiffness, acceleration, braking, cornering, and more. It is noted that the results were better than the calculated ones for most parameters. The shortcomings that are planned to be fixed are also fixed.
Next week, the company is going to conduct tests on load capacity and energy consumption at full load. It is stated that Russo-Balt is going to be certified and receive Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), which will allow launching mass sales of the van in Russia by the end of 2026.
The Russo-Balt electric van was unveiled in January, and its design resembles a futuristic Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck. The van has a stainless steel body, it is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 200 hp and a battery with a capacity of 115 kW / h, allowing you to travel 400 km on a single charge.
Earlier that day, sales of Sollers SF1 seven-seater minivans started in Russia, the model is available at a price starting from 2.25 million rubles. As noted in the company, the model is included in the register of vehicles approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for work in a taxi. Serial production of the SF1 at the Sollers Alabuga plant started in February.
