An elderly man fell through the ice and drowned in Buryatia

In Buryatia, a 70-year-old man drowned in the thaw of the Uda River. The body of the deceased was handed over to the police.

The incident occurred on March 25 in Zaigraevsky district. According to the UlanMedia news agency, an elderly man fell through the ice near the village of Ust-Bryan. The rescuers received a message from eyewitnesses.

Rescuers pulled the deceased out of the water. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that with warming, the ice on rivers and lakes becomes loose, thawing forms. Citizens are asked to avoid walking along the shores and avoid areas with fast currents.

On March 14, a boy drowned in the Kura River in the Stavropol Territory. A four-year-old child left the house unaccompanied by adults on his own, and after a while his body was found in a floodplain.
