Liksutov spoke about the preparations for the warm season of commercial buses in Moscow

Commercial carriers of the capital have begun comprehensive preparations for the summer of their fleet of passenger buses, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"Today, there are 4 commercial carriers operating in the capital under state contracts, which serve 136 routes. Their buses are as modern and comfortable as those of a city carrier. We started preparing this transport for the summer season in all directions: from washing to checking the climate system. At the end of April, when the temperature in the city will be stable above zero, we plan to complete the preparation. We continue to improve the comfort of passengers' trips, as instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin," said Maxim Liksutov.

Specialists wash and clean buses, clean and change the filter elements of the ventilation system, as well as eliminate minor defects. Special attention is paid to the climate system, since in summer it is necessary to constantly monitor the temperature in the cabin for passenger comfort. Drivers are instructed on how to work in changing weather conditions.

Buses of commercial carriers occupy a prominent place in the structure of public transport in Moscow. According to Liksutov, since the beginning of 2026, Moscow passengers have made more than 38 million trips on them.

For the first time, Moscow signed state contracts with commercial carriers in a test mode in 2015, and in 2016 they were fully integrated into the capital's transport complex. Today, 1,100 modern buses operate in Moscow along with the state-owned carrier.
