The ban on vaping in Russia is long overdue. Yaroslav Nilov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, expressed this opinion on Thursday, March 26.
"The expected and "overripe" decision <...> We see how slowly this survey is progressing," the parliamentarian said in an interview with RT.
He added that parents are sounding the alarm, as the age of vaping consumption is decreasing.
"Today we see how this stuff has captured the minds of everyone everywhere, especially young people, and has become a habit. Vapes are crippling, we are dying from vaping. <...> It is necessary to ban this as soon as possible, before it is too late," the deputy concluded.
Earlier in the day, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that the government would progressively work out a ban on vaping in the country. 360.ru .
According to him, the relevant departments — the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance — have been instructed to work on this issue and develop a unified position.
