Zen introduced the Glyph AI assistant to understand the news
Zen has launched the Glyph news AI assistant, which is trained on more than 200 million news materials. Glyph will help users navigate the information field and figure out what the news means to them.
According to Zen research, 78% of users have additional questions about what is happening and why it is important after reading the news, 61% go to the search to understand the topic, and 43% do not find a clear explanation the first time.
Glyph is a Zen news AI assistant that helps you understand what is happening and answers the question "What does this mean?". For example, he can explain the same news in different ways: with an emphasis on the economic consequences, the technological context, or the impact on everyday life, depending on the interests of the user.
To provide the fullest possible context for events, Glyph has been trained on more than 200 million news materials on a wide range of topics, from politics and economics to technology and sports. The AI assistant is available free of charge to all users of the Zen mobile app.
"The name "Glyph" came from the design concept. We considered the assistant as a set of symbols that make up the meaning. This metaphor reflects the approach to the product — to help the user collect a clear picture of what is happening from the news stream," said Alexander Tolokolnikov, Managing director of Zen.
An AI digest has also become available in Zen in the Zen Pro subscription: with it, users can get a short retelling of their feed. The AI digest takes into account the news of the country and region, as well as materials from the channels to which the user is subscribed.
