Manturov reported on the progressive elaboration of the vaping ban
The government will progressively work out a ban on vaping in the Russian Federation. This was announced on March 26 by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs at the Rossiya National Center.
"All this direction was supported. Then we have to come to regulatory decisions that will progressively lead to a ban on the use of such products," Manturov said.
According to him, the relevant departments — the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance — have been instructed to work on this issue and develop a unified position.
The day before, representatives of the Ministry of Health reported that the commission, headed by Manturov, approved an initiative to completely ban the production, import and circulation of electronic cigarettes, vapes and liquids for refilling them in Russia. The meeting also adopted a number of measures to reduce the illegal market for nicotine-containing products.
