A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 180 soldiers, nine armored combat vehicles, four of them Western-made, 23 vehicles, two field artillery guns and three ammunition depots.

The southern group of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions and defeated the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the defense Forces in the areas of the DPR settlements. The Ukrainian formations lost over 100 militants, 14 vehicles and two artillery pieces. Two electronic warfare stations and two ammunition depots were destroyed.

The Center group of troops improved the situation along the front line, and also hit enemy manpower and equipment in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to 315 people, eight armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles and two field artillery guns. Four electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

The units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated enemy formations in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 300 soldiers, seven vehicles and two field artillery pieces. The US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery warfare radar and two material depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 45 militants, 14 vehicles, a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the United States, four electronic warfare stations, a fuel depot and four material depots were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a workshop for the production of remotely controlled boats, control points and launch sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 153 districts.

Six guided aerial bombs and 439 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 127,904 unmanned aerial vehicles, 652 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28493 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,693 multiple rocket launchers, 34090 field artillery guns and mortars, 57,847 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
