Before leaving for a meeting with colleagues in the United States to restore mutual dialogue, the Russian parliamentary delegation met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and received basic instructions from the head of state. This was announced on March 26 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Of course, our parliamentarians have received the main instructions from the president, and the president will be informed in detail about the results of contacts in the United States. This is a very necessary dialogue," the presidential press secretary said at a briefing.
