On March 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). On cooperation between business and the state

The 35th Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs traditionally unites owners, heads of domestic companies and, of course, the entire business community of the country. We meet regularly with some or many of those present in the hall. We discuss the most relevant topics for your companies. Someone works directly and constantly with the government of the Russian Federation, with employees of the administration. Therefore, we are all, as they say, in the material.

The format of the congress really allows discussing topical issues that play an important role for doing business, improving the investment climate, as well as formulating ideas and identifying guidelines for further cooperation between the government and business circles.

We have established such a constructive dialogue aimed at results with the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and other associations, on the one hand, and on the other hand, with government authorities and civil society institutions.

About sanctions

Trusting, thorough cooperation between government and business is especially important today, when the level of uncertainty and even stress has sharply increased in global markets around the world. We are all well aware of the events of 2014, when Russia was forced to do everything necessary to protect our people, then in Crimea, later in southeastern Ukraine, but after that illegal sanctions followed. They are illegal, I want to emphasize, because they have never been confirmed by UN decisions.
