The wife of one of the defendants in the case of the attack on Izvestia journalist Alexei Poltoranin closed the door in fright when she saw the film crew. This was announced on March 26 by correspondent Leonid Klimenchuk.

The published footage shows the film crew approaching the apartment door. The woman who opened the door instantly recognizes the journalists and, without saying a word, quickly slams it shut. The correspondent does not have time to ask a question.

The woman's husband, Pavel Poghosyan, a businessman and the main "seller" of the company, was among those who threatened Poltoranin with physical violence for investigating illegal business with state registration plates in Podolsk.

On March 25, employees of a company illegally selling "beautiful" license plates for cars attacked Alexey Poltoranin, a correspondent for Izvestia, who was investigating the company's activities. He came to the company's office under the guise of a buyer in order to find out details about the schemes for selling government numbers. The company's employees suspected that Poltoranin was a journalist, surrounded and attacked him.

In turn, Kirill Olkov, a correspondent for Izvestia, said the next day that investigators had begun interrogating Pavel Poghosyan, who had brutally beaten Poltoranin. Subsequently, Poltoranin announced the beginning of a confrontation between him and three suspects in the case of a brutal beating. After completing all the procedures, the defendants in the case were taken out of the building of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and taken to an isolation ward.
